Walkers Design Excellence Awards – Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility

To be eligible for entry into the Walkers Design Excellence Awards (the “Awards”), all applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • The project must include the use of Walkers products as a primary material or finish (e.g. tiles, vanities, tapware, accessories).
  • Walkers products must be clearly visible and identifiable in the submitted images and documentation.
  • The project must have been completed within Australia and within the last 24 months from the date of submission.
  • The project must not have been previously submitted to or awarded in a previous Walkers Awards cycle.

2. Geographic Area

  • The Awards are open to projects located within Australia only.
  • Entrants must be Australian residents or registered Australian design/build businesses (including architects, interior designers, stylists, builders or developers)

3. Entry Requirements

To be considered for shortlisting, all entries must include:

  • High-resolution, professional photographs of the completed project (minimum 3 images).
  • A completed entry form including project description, design intent and list of Walkers products used.
  • A product usage breakdown, specifying:
    • Product name(s) and ranges
    • Quantity used (where relevant)
    • Area of application (e.g., bathroom floor, kitchen splashback, powder room vanity, etc.)

4. Verification

  • Walkers reserves the right to request proof of product purchase or specification.
  • By entering, the applicant agrees that Walkers may verify product use with internal records or by contacting the relevant supplier or showroom.

5. Shortlisting Criteria

Shortlisting will be based on the following:

  • Creative and functional use of Walkers products
  • Quality of design and execution
  • Innovation, styling and visual appeal
  • Clarity and completeness of the submission
  • Appropriateness to the selected category (e.g. Residential Bathroom, Commercial Space, etc.)

6. Judging Process

  • Entries will be reviewed by a panel of both independent judges appointed by Walkers and Walkers.
  • The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Shortlisted entrants will be notified by email and may be asked to provide additional material or clarification.

7. Usage Rights

  • By submitting an entry, applicants grant Walkers a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use images and project information for promotional, editorial and marketing purposes across digital, print and social platforms.
  • Credit will be given to the designer/stylist/photographer where supplied and appropriate.

8. Disqualification

Walkers reserves the right to disqualify any entry that:

  • Does not meet eligibility requirements
  • Contains misleading or false information
  • Uses products that are not from the Walkers ranges.

9. General Conditions

  • No entry fee applies.
  • Multiple entries per business or designer are permitted, provided each entry is for a different project.
  • Walkers reserves the right to amend or cancel the Awards at any stage, without prior notice, for reasons beyond its control.
