Warehouse Bathroom Renovation Testimonial

Turning part of a warehouse storage room into a bathroom and walk-in-robe with limited space is exactly what this client has completed.

The warehouse is built from precast concrete walls which are beautiful in their own right, particularly when you butt a white plaster wall next them, highlighting the raw nature of the material. When you add warm timber to the equation then the projects starts to look very promising.

One element, and a very important element was missing and this was the tile. A trip to Walkers and a helping hand from Tracey in the Design Centre put me on the right path. Once I explained I had a concrete feature wall and showed her a few photos on my phone we were off into the great chasm of tile options. I stipulated two things, I wanted a 600 x 600mm size tile and I wanted it to be darker than the concrete wall.

Tracey was able to show me a number of options and we very quickly narrowed down to three tile options. One in particular had a copper type stone highlight which we both thought would work well with my already purchased copper coloured hand wash dispenser, bin and toilet brush holder.

Tracey was kind enough to allow me to take three tile samples to the warehouse and when I laid them down next to the concrete wall and timber I knew I had a winner. We went with the Aggregate Dark Grey 600x600mm Smooth Grip. The process was a lot quicker and easier than I thought, made all the more enjoyable by Tracey’s knowledge and help.
